Pioneer Woman Cinnamon Rolls

If you are a big fan of cinnamon rolls, you have to check out the Pioneer Woman cookbook or website for the recipe. I don't much care for cinnamon rolls, but when I tried her recipe, I was hooked. They are amazing and practically melt in your mouth! I had others asking for the recipe. Go check out The Pioneer Woman blog/website and try her amazing cinnamon rolls. Your family and friends will love you!

This was obviously before they were baked, but the turnout was awesome!

Minority

This past weekend, I was in St Louis, MO with my family for my cousin Justin's wedding. Sunday morning, mom, Jeff, my brother Adam, and I got up and got ready for the day. We were going to go to church and do some sight seeing before we started to head for home. We checked out a little bit of Union Station before heading to a church that was half a mile away.

We got to the church and were on our way in when I saw the little statues in front of the church. They were little black angels. I have nothing against other races. I have good friends from college who are black, hispanic and some who are from different countries. I also come in contact with many different types of people through my job. I think I was just caught a little off guard. The four of us walk in. Out of the 100 people or so, we are about 4 of the only 6 white people. Several people come up to greet us and ask where we were from. As we were leaving, the sweet lady that was sitting in front of us turned around and gave each of us a hug and said "God Bless you" to each of us as well.

I never knew before what it was like to be a minority. Spending an hour and a half in this church was a very humbling experience for me. It made me realize in some very tiny aspect of what it must be like for other people to be a minority. I wish I could tell those who were at the church that day for opening my eyes and for the very humble experience.
